With the holidays fast-approaching, parents and carers will be trying to think of new ways to keep little people occupied.

1. Wrexham County Borough Museum
The museum is a great place for kids and gets plenty of 5-star reviews from happy parents.

2. Ty Mawr Country Park
Just a hop and a skip from Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, this lovely country park offers lots of outdoor fun – including animals, a playground, and plenty of walks and picnic-spots.
3. Wrexham Playday
A giant sandpit, mass water fight, junk-play and rope swings. It’s on!
Wrexham will be celebrating National Playday on Wednesday, August 2.
4. Alyn Waters Country Park
Another smashing country park where kids can burn off energy, experience nature and have fun.
5. Wrexham Library
Kids love books. So a visit to your local library could be just the ticket.
It’s also a great place to crack on with homework and summer projects during school hols.
6. Free tennis coaching at Bellevue
There’s lots of stuff going on at Bellevue Park this summer, including free tennis coaching on Thursday, August 3.
7. Film club at the Stiwt
You can’t beat the magic of the movies. Check out the film club for children and young people at Stiwt Theatr Rhos.
8. Nant Mill Visitor Centre
Explore the surrounding woodland-walks, get close to nature, and enjoy the various kid-friendly activities at Nant Mill.
