1. Wrexham County Borough Museum

The museum is a great place for kids and gets plenty of 5-star reviews from happy parents.

Keep tabs on the museum’s Facebook page.

2. Ty Mawr Country Park

Just a hop and a skip from Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, this lovely country park offers lots of outdoor fun – including animals, a playground, and plenty of walks and picnic-spots.

3. Wrexham Playday

A giant sandpit, mass water fight, junk-play and rope swings. It’s on!

Wrexham will be celebrating National Playday on Wednesday, August 2.

4. Alyn Waters Country Park

Another smashing country park where kids can burn off energy, experience nature and have fun.

5. Wrexham Library

Kids love books. So a visit to your local library could be just the ticket.

It’s also a great place to crack on with homework and summer projects during school hols.

6. Free tennis coaching at Bellevue

There’s lots of stuff going on at Bellevue Park this summer, including free tennis coaching on Thursday, August 3.

7. Film club at the Stiwt

You can’t beat the magic of the movies. Check out the film club for children and young people at Stiwt Theatr Rhos.

8. Nant Mill Visitor Centre

Explore the surrounding woodland-walks, get close to nature, and enjoy the various kid-friendly activities at Nant Mill.

Of course, there’s always the chance something might change – an activity might be cancelled, postponed or moved, for example.

So if you want peace of mind, it’s a good idea to check with the venue or organisers before you set out.
