Physical Job Working Outdoors
SHARE

Sometimes it’s difficult to find the time to stay physically fit. If you’re in work all day, the idea of exercising before or after work isn’t always very appealing…

But what if you could have an active job where you could stay fit while you work?

Yes, these do exist, and we’ve got some that are suitable for both men and women.

Interested? Read on…

We’re currently recruiting for a number of Streetscene operatives. These are physical jobs and they involve working outdoors. So if you’re the type of person who’d prefer to be out and about rather than confined to an office, this could be a good fit.

A large amount of these are loading jobs, working in refuse and recycling collection.

Refuse loaders pull the black or green bins to the refuse lorry and tip in via lifts before returning them to where they came from.

Recycling loaders take the boxes/bags of recycling to the recycling vehicle and tip them into the various compartments before returning them.

These are physical roles and you’ll do a lot of walking too.

Streetscene operatives also provide a range of other services, including highway maintenance, cemetery and cremation services, street cleansing and grounds maintenance.

So whichever of these you’re tasked with, you’ll be working outdoors and staying active in the process.

And get this. Working for a council can be a good career option – it usually comes with a pension, good leave allowance and relative stability.

If this sounds like you, please click on the link below to apply 🙂

The closing date is Friday, October 5.

We can almost hear the ‘Rocky’ theme playing in the background 😉
