The Welsh Youth Parliament is a platform to amplify young voices with 60 young people aged 11-18 set to become Welsh Youth Parliament Members. Young people will elect 40 of them by voting in the election in November 2018. The remaining 20 will be elected by partner organisations.

Putting the parliament together this way will make sure that there’s representation from diverse groups of young people across Wales.

Cllr Andrew Atkinson, Lead Member for Youth Services and Anti-Poverty said: “This is a fantastic way for young people in Wrexham to have their say on decisions that are made in Wales. It is the perfect opportunity to encourage young people to find an interest in politics, or even start their own career in politics.

“I would urge everyone aged between 11-18 to get involved and register to vote in the Welsh Youth Parliament elections.”
