Overnight We have seen a dusting of snow and ice in places.
The remainder of today will see scattered wintry showers and low temperatures remaining.
Councillor David A Bithell, Deputy Leader of the Council said “Driving conditions have been challenging with sleet and snow on higher ground overnight combined with low temperatures.
“The low temperatures are expected to remain during today and into tonight.
“Our gritting crews have been out all night and early this morning on priority 1 routes.
“Gritting will continue throughout the weekend whilst the cold weather continues.
“Our Refuse and recycling collections are continuing to operate and too are experiencing difficult conditions. “Please take care if you need to travel and plan ahead using daily weather forecasts.”
