Over the last few years, EV charging points have been installed across the county borough and work is continuing to provide more.
Wrexham Council has been working with Costelloes, with part-funding from the Welsh Government, to increase the network of high quality and reliable chargepoints, which include some higher-speed chargers
As we move towards the ban on the sale of new internal combustion engine powered vehicles in 2030 and Hybrid vehicles in 2035, it is increasingly important to ensure we have strong network of publicly available chargers.
Cllr David A Bithell, lead member for housing and climate change, said: “Wrexham Council wants to ensure that the infrastructure is in place to support people with the change to EVs, especially those that do not have access to off-road parking, so that everyone can feel more confident when making the decision to switch.”
