Mark your calendars for Saturday, 15th November, when we will be officially welcoming the festive season in Wrexham!

This year, we’re proud to be working with Nightingale House Hospice, Fair Event Management, and Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre to bring a day of festivities to the city centre.

Here’s what’s in store:

Afternoon markets

Festivities begin at 12pm in Queens Square, where you can enjoy a warming selection of hot food and drink, live entertainment, and a vibrant Artisan Market showcasing local makers, independent traders and handmade gifts.

Charity lantern parade

From 4.30pm, the Nightingale House Hospice Lantern Parade will set off from Queens Square. It’s a meaningful way to have fun and raise money for such a crucial cause.

If you’d like to join with others and take part in the 1 mile parade, you’ll need to register beforehand to get your lantern. Visit the Lantern Parade page on the Nightingale House Hospice website to find out more.

Light switch on entertainment

The day continues from 5.30pm at Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre, where the countdown and Christmas lights switch-on finale will take place.

Along with sparkling displays and a festive atmosphere, you can expect live music acts including:

  • West End star Kayleigh McKnight
  • Livin’ Joy
  • Urban Cookie Collective
  • Dene Michael (from Black Lace)
  • Urban Fusion (local dance group)

Whether you can come along for the full day, or just pop along for a part of it, we invite everyone who’s ready to get into the festive spirit to wrap up warm and get together with family, friends and community on November 15th!

If you’ll be travelling into the city centre by car you can find details of local car parks on our find a car park webpage.
