Organisers are gearing up for this year’s Play Day which takes place on Wednesday, August 7 in the town centre between 12noon and 4pm.
Regulars to Play Day will know that it’s the day when children take over the town centre and parents and carers watch on while everyone gets very wet and very messy 🙂
There’s all the usual activities including den building, a big maze, the popular water slide, the giant sand pit and plenty for even the very youngest of children.
Playing is what being a child is all about and Play Day is the day we all get to take a side step and give them plenty of room to do just that.
Around 4,000 people visited last year’s event and we want to see even more this year. All you need to bring with you is a playful mood and of course some clothes you don’t mind getting wet and messy.
We’d also love you to bring a picnic and stay for the day or make the most of what’s available in the town centre.
We love it and we look forward to welcoming children of all ages once again to take over the town centre.
We hope to see you on August 7 in the town centre between 12noon and 4pm.
