Bersham Ironworks will be throwing its doors open in August for two days of magical family fun 🙂
Made famous by John ‘Iron Mad’ Wilkinson, a leading figure in the Industrial Revolution, the once noisy Bersham Ironworks now nestles quietly in the beautiful Clywedog Valley, just two miles outside Wrexham.

But on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10 between 11am and 3pm it will come alive with:
- Wizard Storytelling
- Wand Making
- Face Painting
- Guided Tours of the Ironworks
- An I-Spy trail for children
- Albion Historical Falconry
- Blaidd Field Archers (Saturday only)
Everyone is welcome and small snacks will be available so please bring a picnic. There’s also free parking.
Please be aware there may be a small charge for some activities.

Follow brown signs marked Bersham and Clywedog from either the A525 onto the B5098, the A483 onto the B5605 and B5098, or the B5099 west of Wrexham. Look out for brown signs marked Gwaith Haearn Ironworks. For off road parking continue past the Ironworks for 150m and turn off opposite Bersham Church.
