Work is being carried out over the next few weeks to bring electric vehicle (EV) charging points to the city centre library car park.
There will be some limited disruption to the bays closest to Chester Road at the Library Car park to enable the installation of new chargepoints, including an additional ultra-rapid charger.
As we move towards the ban on the sale of new internal combustion engine powered vehicles in 2030 and Hybrid vehicles in 2035, there are range of possible solutions for public EV charging and these chargepoints will further enhance our high quality and reliable network of public chargers.
Cllr David A Bithell, lead member for housing and climate change, sad: “Wrexham Council wants to ensure that the infrastructure is in place to support people with the change to EVs, especially those that do not have access to off road parking, so that everyone can feel more confident when making the decision to switch.
“These extra spaces are part of that project, and we will continue to work to increase the EV charging network in the city centre and residential areas around the county borough.”
