With a day packed full of activities for all the family, this year’s event promises to be spectacular. The event is coordinated in collaboration between Wrexham Council, Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre, Nightingale House Hospice and Fair Events Management.

Finding the perfect gift

The events for the day begin on Queens Square from 12 p.m. Here, visitors will be spoilt for choice with an array of Artisan market stalls to browse.

Locally crafted and handmade gifts will be on offer so finding the perfect gift for your loved ones this year will be a breeze.

If all the shopping stirs up an appetite, the market has that covered for you. Seasonal treats, food and drink will also be available to buy.

A full line up of festive performances and live entertainment will be going ahead whilst visitors can take in the seasonal celebrations.

Magic streets

At 4.30 p.m., the Nightingale House Lantern & Lights Parade will assemble on Queens Square, ready to bring light and Christmas magic to the streets.

Families are encouraged to help be a part of this amazing parade whilst raising money for a wonderful cause by registering their child to walk as part of the procession in aid of Nightingale House.

It costs £6 for your child to take part and accompanying adults go free. To register, head over to the Nightingale House Hospice website.

Festive finale

Over at Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre at 5.30p.m., people will gather together for the grand finale. Here, visitors will see the Christmas spectacle of the light switch on.

Live music will soundtrack the proceedings with a whole host of amazing guests. This year, West End star Kayleigh McKnight, Livin’ Joy, Urban Cookie Collective and Dene Michael from Black Lace will all be taking to the stage to keep the party going.

Councillor Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy, Business and Tourism said: “It is delightful to see such a fun-filled event for our community. People of all ages are certainly in for a great time whilst raising money for one of our vital local charities. I hope everyone has a marvellous time and I urge you all to get involved in spreading Christmas cheer through our streets”.
