Cllr Phil Wynn, Lead Member for Education, said:

“I am very proud of our young people today who will be receiving their GCSE results based on Centre Assessed Grades. It’s been a very difficult year for them all and they are to be commended for their resilience as we continue with the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I would like to pass on my congratulations to them all but I also recognise that some may now have difficult decisions to make and they should all be re-assured that their schools and parents will be able to advise them on the best way forward as they enter further education, work or training. Well done to everyone and best wishes for your future.
