On Monday, March 9, 2026 Wrexham is celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) and everyone is welcome at Ty Pawb to find out how small acts of support create big opportunities for women.

The theme of this year’s IWD is Give to Gain, which centres around the understanding that sharing your experiences, knowledge and time means you are building up the current and next generation of women. In turn, this works towards closing the gender gap.

To show you how this can work, Ty Pawb will host an event with organisations who work in Wrexham, the UK and further afield.

Cllr Beverley Parry-Jones, lead member with responsibility for gender equality, said: “Small acts of support can make a big difference to women’s lives and this is the theme of IWD 2026. This year we have more than 14 organisations coming along to Ty Pawb, including WeMindTheGap, the King’s Trust International, Careers Cymru and Domestic Abuse Safety Unit north Wales. I would encourage everyone to come along and celebrate women’s achievements and find out how you can make a big difference with even the smallest of acts.”

So come along to this fun event to find out more and see how you can #givetogain.
