The fair was organised by VOD Music, one of North Wales premier record stores and record fair organisers, based in Mold.

Saturday’s event has been hailed as a huge success by the organisers, with over 750 people attending.

The fair featured 36 stallholders, selling records of all music genres as well as CD’s DVD’s and other music memorabilia.

A “must visit” place

Event Orqaniser, Colin Trueman (Vod Music), said: “We were overwhelmed by the amazing support for last Saturdays Record Fair at Tŷ Pawb and would like to thank all the Tŷ Pawb staff, food stalls, market and of course visitors for making our first visit such a memorable day. Record Dealers were extremely impressed with the venue and the versatility of the space, the great atmosphere (which was buzzing) and the way all the stalls, arts and community events combined together under one roof.

“For us the really pleasing thing was to hear that many first-time visitors could not believe what a gem they had on their doorstep, vowing to make it a must visit place in the future.

“A final thank thank to Halycon Dreams and all those who spun their vinyl on the turntables, the great range of sounds provided a fitting backdrop to the Fair. Music is about community bringing people together and we hope to be back here soon.”

A huge Christmas in store

Lead Member for People – Communities, Partnerships Public Protection and Community Safety, Cllr Hugh Jones, said: “It’s great to see that Tŷ Pawb is now consistently fulfilling it’s potential as a vibrant community hub in Wrexham and a venue which will draw shoppers and visitors in from all around.

“As well as the hugely successful record fair, we also had a sold out children’s cinema showing the night before. Saturday’s have now become particularly busy as a family destination with all sort of activities, crafts and music events taking place alongside the fantastic shopping and eating experience offered by our traders, and of course the wonderful art on display in the galleries.

“Many more activities for all ages are planned for the Christmas period and I would encourage everyone to pick up a copy of the events guide at Tŷ Pawb, or download a copy online.”
