Organisations in Wrexham are being invited to apply for grants as part of the latest phase of the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) programme.

Communities and Place
Grants for projects that strengthen local pride (including events and activities), support local facilities and open spaces, and improve community safety.
Supporting Local Business
Grants to help local businesses start-up, expand or increase performance.
People and Skills
Grants for projects and activities that help adults improve their maths, employment and IT skills.
Applications will open next week (from midday on Monday, February 17) for organisations, groups and businesses across Wrexham County Borough.
Councillor Mark Pritchard, Leader of Wrexham Council, said: “We want local groups and organisations to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, and to consider applying for a grant.
“If you’re working on a project that will help increase local pride and life opportunities in in the county borough, please take a look – this could be a chance to secure the funding you need.
“We also want to local businesses to make the most of this opportunity…to help them grow and compete. Supporting local employers is hugely important and we don’t want anyone to miss out.”

The Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda.
Since it was introduced in 2023, Wrexham has benefitted from over £22 million worth of grant-money to support local initiatives.
The latest round of grants will be drawn from Wrexham 2025-26 pot of SPF funding, which totals over £7.6 million.
