David lives locally with his wife, Ann, who is described as his “ideal reader” and main mentor.

He has been writing since 2009 and keeps to a very strict routine of writing daily. You may often find David in full creative flow in one of Wrexham’s independent cafes.

Among his many accolades, David is a member of the Historical Novel Society, the International Brigades Memorial Trust, the Anglo-Zulu War Historical Society, New Writers UK, and the Alliance of Independent Authors.

Stranger than fiction

Up to date, David has penned fourteen historical thrillers and crime novels among his impressive back catalogue.

Inspiration comes from true historical stories and events. They lay the foundations for his fictional world. It provides the backdrop for new and interesting ways to kill off some of the characters in his fictional world.

You will be amazed by the quirky tales that spawned these gripping stories. From Nero the deadly lion to bullet magnets and the women who put Sharpe to shame, there are all sorts of true tales from the past to leave you speechless.

Audiences are guaranteed conspiracies galore when Mr Ebsworth spins his yarns.

Discover for yourself

On Friday January 30, David will be performing a special “Murder & Mayhem” show at Ruabon library.

The performance begins at 1pm and it is free to attend. Here, audiences can find out for themselves the madness behind the tales from the man himself.

To secure your free place at this event, you can get in touch with the team at Ruabon library by giving them a call on 01978 822002.

This unique event is an hour-long performance and is not for those with a nervous disposition. Tales of misdeeds and treachery await! Don’t delay, secure your place today.
