Local musician Luke Gallagher has a big heart when it comes to Wrexham people and in order to support families during these difficult times he’s putting on a gig at Yellow and Blue (YaB) on Tuesday 20 December.

Whilst Luke will not be paid – he’s asking that you give to get in.

Are you the victim of a loan shark? Call 0300 123 311.

You can take toys or festive food or give a donation on the door. Everything received will be given to YaB to distribute to families that are struggling to buy gifts for their children or to put festive food on the table.

Doors will be open at 7pm and Luke will be on stage for an hour at 7.30.

Any proceeds taken from the sale of merchandise will also go to YaB in the form of food and toys.

If you can’t attend on the night you can give at the Golden Lion in Coedpoeth who have kindly agreed to take donations.

Luke also has three gigs over the weekend and the proceeds from those will all be donated to YaB.

Luke said, “It’s tough out there at the moment with no signs that it’s going to get better so I’d like to do something to make a difference this Christmas. I know that by working with Yellow and Blue help will be given to the right people in time for Christmas. Shine on Wrexham and let’s support those who need our help.”

“I’d also like to thank St Tidfal’s church for donating a large box of toys that I’ll be taking along with me on Tuesday.”

Cllr David A Bithell, Chair of the Cost of Living Group, said, “It’s a remarkable gesture and one that Luke can be proud of. I hope as many people as possible are able to donate something on the door in order to brighten up Christmas for families across Wrexham.”

Pete Humphreys of Yellow and Blue, said, “It’s a very generous act by Luke and I know he has a lot of followers who will do their best to support him both before and at the event.”

When it comes to the cost of living, making sure you claim all the help and support you’re entitled to could make a huge difference.
