Following the recent investment made into the facility with the purchase of a new pool hoist, Chirk Leisure & Activity Centre are delighted to have also added a mobile hoist along with a new changing bed.

These new additions combined with the pool hoist will ensure the facilities are accessible to all and will assist people changing, entering and exiting the swimming pool.

The investment has been welcomed by Centre Manager, David Watkin, said: “We are really pleased with this further investment by Freedom Leisure. The new facilities ensure the pool is fully accessible for everyone and will allow more opportunity for swimmers in Wrexham to enjoy the benefits that exercise in the water provides.”

Jamie Wiffen is one of the many customers who will now benefit from the new facilities at Chirk: “I’m now really looking forward to being able to swim at Chirk, I’m really grateful to the team at Chirk Leisure Centre for helping make this happen.”

Chirk Leisure & Activity Centre is operated by Freedom Leisure – a not-for-profit charitable leisure trust which manages leisure facilities in the area in partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council. Every penny goes back into local facilities to create new programmes and improve facilities for the community.

Chirk Leisure & Activity Centre are happy to provide support, answer any questions or offer demonstrations, simply contact the centre on 01691 778666.
