Once again we’re able to celebrate St David’s Day in true Wrexham style by holding a parade through the town centre and you’re all invited to take part along with bells, whistles and flags.????

The event is organised in partnership with Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam and starts at 1.00 pm on Tuesday March 1, 2022. The event is part of  #Wrecsam2025 City of Culture programming that aims to raise awareness of our bid and its benefits for the region.

Work in social care and be the lifeline your community needs.

The Parade will be headed by Band Cambria to add a special Welsh feel to the event, and Welsh language live music performances from choirs and acoustic musicians will take place on a stage on Queen’s Square.

All groups, organisations, businesses, schools and individuals can take part and once again all sections of Wrexham will walk together to celebrate our special national day.

Cllr Hugh Jones, Lead Member for Communities, Partnerships, Public Protection and Community Safety, said, “It’s good see the event back in the town centre following the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions that meant such gatherings could not take place.

“It’s always well represented and I look forward to seeing people from all communities, schools and organisations come together to celebrate St David’s Day.”

Organisers are reminding everyone that the pandemic is still with us so please for your own safety and that of the community social distance wherever possible.

Don’t forget the date – Tuesday March 1, 2022 at 1pm. Flags welcome!!!

St David's Day

If you’re looking for a new career and want to help people in your community, a job in social care could be the right move.
