Want to help the environment, get active outdoors and meet others in the community while you do? Be a volunteer for the day and come along to Plant a Tree Day at Lilac Way on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Background
Fully funded – this event is supported by the Woodland Trust’s Emergency Tree Fund.
It will help towards our goals as part of Wrexham Woodland Pledge (which outlines our commitment to increasing tree canopy cover, and protecting existing woodland across the county borough).
On the day
The event is taking place on Saturday, November 30 from 10am – 3pm (feel free to stay as long as you prefer).
If you are staying over lunchtime please bring your own packed lunch and drinks. Hot drinks and biscuits are provided.
Children must be accompanied by an adult, tree planting is suitable for all the family but young children will require adult support when digging holes.
All equipment is provided and gloves are available to use, please wear warm weather-appropriate clothes and wellies or sturdy boots!
We will be on site between 10am – 3pm but feel free to stay as long as you like.
Meeting point
We will be meeting at the carpark off Maesgwyn Community Centre, Lilac Way, LL11 2BB.
