Our Executive Board meets again on April 9 and their agenda is now live on our website.
This month will see members vote on proposals to increase pupil numbers at Bro Alun following the recent consultation, you can read more about that here (link to Bro Alun story)and to set the timetable for the 20/22 budget process. They’ll also be given an update on a seed school for Welsh Medium Education at the former Hafod y Wern infant school.

Members will be told that the Public Service Ombudsman for Wales Annual Letter has been sent to us which looks at the number of complaints received in 2016/17 which shows we rank 10 in terms of complaints made to the Ombudsman about Local Authorities in Wales.
Members will also be asked to approve a panel of six members to undertake Rota Visits to Independent Sector Care Homes and the Panel’s Terms of Reference and to approve a member to sit on the North Wales Science Board until the next local government elections in 2022.
Finally they will be asked to approve a request to apply for a Silver Ward for the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme run by the Ministry of Defence. If approved we will be pledging, demonstrating and advocating support to defence and the armed forces community and aligning our values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
