Eisteddfod Rhondda Cynon Taf 2024
SHARE

Are you ready to make the most of the Eisteddfod visiting us this year? Using just a little Cymraeg in your business could help attract new customers. With the Eisteddfod coming to Wrecsam this summer, there’s no better time to start using Cymraeg. It can be as simple as swapping ‘welcome’ for ‘croeso’ or ‘thank you’ for ‘diolch.’ Give it a go—you’ll be surprised by the positive feedback!

Free Business Translation Service

If you want to take it a step further, how about adding a Cymraeg specials menu or using a bit of Cymraeg to promote your products or services? Helo Blod offers FREE translations of up to 500 words a month as well as a service for checking the Cymraeg. It’s a fantastic resource for anyone who doesn’t speak Cymraeg or wants to ensure their message is spot on! If you feel confident, why not give it a try yourself? It doesn’t have to be perfect—pobody’s nerfect! Your efforts to use Cymraeg will definitely be appreciated!

Save the Date – Business Breakfast Opportunity

  • Date: 16/06/25
  • Time: 8-10am
  • Location: Moneypenny Wrexham, LL13 7ZB
  • Booking: Visit the Eventbright page

This free breakfast event offers local businesses a chance to learn more about the National Eisteddfod, happening in Is-y-coed from August 2nd to 9th this year. The festival could draw over 100,000 visitors throughout the week, so it’s a perfect opportunity to attract new customers and showcase your business. Members of the Eisteddfod and Wrexham Council team will be there to answer any questions you have.

Cllr Hugh Jones, Cymraeg Language Champion at Cyngor Wrecsam, said, “Using a little Cymraeg costs nothing but it can lead to very positive cultural and financial benefits. “Discover how you and your business can make the most of the 100,000+ visitors to Eisteddfod Wrecsam this summer by visiting the business breakfast and offering a Cymraeg Croeso!”
