As the summer holidays are almost upon us, our colleagues at Wrexham’s Family Information Service (WFIS) have once again produced a bumper booklet of events and activities taking place across the county borough for your use.
“Reasonable or free of charge”
Across the county borough there’s plenty going from old favourites like free swimming and Play Day (August 7) to the summer family film club at Tŷ Pawb, sports and games or making bug hotels. The activities take place at our country parks, the County Borough Museum, Tŷ Pawb, Wrexham Libraries, National Trust properties and the town centre.
Cllr Andrew Atkinson, Lead Member for Youth Services and Anti Poverty, said: “The WFIS do an excellent job of pulling this booklet together and as a parent myself I can vouch for how useful it is. It’s a really handy guide for parents and carers who have the job of keeping their children amused for the school holidays.”
“There’s also some great free activities including many in our country parks which are always worth a visit.”
We’re sure you’ll be able to find something each week that’s either very reasonable or free of charge and suitable for all age ranges.
