The Summer Reading Challenge is back for 2024 with the theme “Marvellous Makers.”

We know that children who read books often gain higher results in maths, vocabulary and spelling tests than those who read less regularly, plus they get to have marvellous adventure along the way.

Cllr Beverley Parry Jones, Lead Member for Corporate Services, said “This year all our libraries have collections of super books, eBooks and eAudiobooks to encourage children to read for pleasure in the long summer holidays and avoid the summer reading dip.”

How to take part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge

So don’t wait for the summer holidays, you can download your eBooks and eAudiobooks today by visiting www.wrexham.gov.uk/online and follow the BorrrowBox link to access your online library. Or you can visit the library in person to browse the books available.
