The Summer Reading Challenge is back for 2024 with the theme “Marvellous Makers.”
We know that children who read books often gain higher results in maths, vocabulary and spelling tests than those who read less regularly, plus they get to have marvellous adventure along the way.
Cllr Beverley Parry Jones, Lead Member for Corporate Services, said “This year all our libraries have collections of super books, eBooks and eAudiobooks to encourage children to read for pleasure in the long summer holidays and avoid the summer reading dip.”
