If you’re experienced at giving high quality administrative support, you may want to take a look at this job…
We’re currently advertising for a Committee Officer to work in our busy Committee Services team.
And what exactly does a Committee Officer do? Let’s start by looking at who you’ll be supporting.
Basically, committees are like the cogs and gears that make local government work – turning out decisions that affect services and our customers.
We recently published a blog on the different types of committees. Take a look…they deal with some pretty important stuff!
And here’s where you can come in…
As a Committee Officer, you’ll play a key role too – by giving vital support to the Council, Executive Board and all other meetings that form part of the council’s political management structure.
Interested?
To do this job well, you’ll tick all these boxes…
You’ll have excellent communication and be able to work with Councillors and Officers at all levels.
You’ll be super-organised and work well under pressure.
You’ll also need to be creative, innovative and have good IT skills.
Ideally your admin experience will be within a committee administration team, and a relevant administration qualification is essential.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
