The White Ribbon is the globally recognised symbol to end men’s violence against women and girls. Since the inception of the White Ribbon movement 36 years ago in Canada, the White Ribbon has become an important symbol in the fight to end gender-based violence.

On Monday 24th November 2024 between 10:00am-1:00pm a White Ribbon event will be held at Tŷ Pawb.

The event will be attended by a range of local organisations who will be on hand to offer advice, help, support and signpost to further information to all in attendance; as well as raise awareness of the importance of recognising the signs and symptoms of domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Cllr Beverly Parry Jones, Gender-based violence, domestic abuse and sexual violence Champion at Wrexham Council said “White Ribbon events at Tŷ Pawb have always been well attended by local organisations that support women, as well as the public attending. “This event will play an important part in raising awareness of the symptoms of domestic abuse and sexual violence, as well as having experts on hand to offer help and advice.”
