The Guildhall in Wrexham will be lit up in red on Monday (July 3) to help celebrate 80 years of the Trefoil Guild.
The Trefoil Guild is for people aged 18 and over, and is part of the Girlguiding movement, and members across the country will be taking part in activities and challenges to mark the anniversary.
Wrexham has a long and proud history with Girlguiding, and the building will be lit up between 9pm and midnight on July 3.
Deputy Mayor Councillor Beryl Blackmore, who set up 1st Marford Guides many years ago and is a member of the Trefoil Guild, says: “Wrexham has always had a very active Girlguiding scene and I’m delighted we’re able to help mark the occasion by lighting up the Guildhall.
“The Trefoil Guild helps keep the spirit of Rainbows, Brownies, Girl Guides and Rangers alive in our communities, and has grown from humble beginnings into a much-loved and valued organisation that does a huge amount of good work. Long may it continue!”
