Right now in communities across Wrexham there’s people who are waiting for carers to be recruited to help them have independent daily lives.

That means you could apply for a job that’s flexible, can fit in with family and circumstances and is very rewarding.

Make sure you know about changes to Covid-19 restrictions in Wales

Here in Wrexham we support children, young people and vulnerable adults as well as their families and carers. The support you could provide will help individuals live as safely and independently as possible.

A carer can make a huge difference

Care is given directly to individuals in a range of settings, from supporting people in their own homes with day to day living tasks, to taking individuals to day centres or activity groups, taking them swimming or visiting the cinema, to caring for people with complex health needs in residential homes or supported accommodation.

We work with a number of contracted partners who support the authority by providing social care services to individuals living in Wrexham.

All their jobs are available on the We Care Wales website that also has videos, information and advice direct from those working in the health care sector right now.

It’s well worth a look and we’re sure you’ll find something to suit your personal circumstances.

You can take a look here.

If you’d prefer to email for more further information please contact commissioning@wrexham.gov.uk.

Cllr Joan Lowe, Lead Member for Health and Adult Social Care, said: “These are really rewarding jobs and there’s lots available across the county borough. There’s also full training provided and you’ll be a huge help to individuals who wish to remain independent in their own homes.”
