There is still time to buy your tickets for this year’s Carnival of Words literary festival!

Opening this year’s festival will be bestselling author Mark Billingham, who will talk about his life as a writer, actor and stand-up comedian. Mark will be followed by local author Simon McCleave whose crime books set in and around North Wales are proving to be a winning and popular combination.

Get news and info from your local council – sign-up for email bulletins.

Alan Johnson returns to the festival to talk about his debut novel, Sarah Hilary will talk about being a bestselling crime/suspense author and about being selected for the Richard and Judy reading list and being a World Book Night book choice.

Did you enjoy watching Keeping Faith and Kavanagh QC on TV, then why not come and meet Matthew Hall, creator of these great programmes and bestselling novelist.

If you fancy something a bit lighter then Milly Johnson bestselling romantic novelist will talk about how she has successfully written and sold over 3 million copies of her books. Author, raconteur and comedian are a few of the adjectives used to describe Gervase Phinn, an event not to be missed.

Historical fictions will not be disappointed with appearances by Barbara Erskine and Patricia Bracewell, who will be appearing together for the first time. Bestselling Welsh author Bethan Gwanas will be talking about her latest book written about her beloved dog, Mot.

Carys Davies, born in Llangollen will visit us from her home in Edinburgh to talk about the background to her latest book and local Reverend Dr. Jason Bray will be talking about his book Deliverance – miss it if you dare!

These events are supported by several free events, for families, writers, poets and local historians. For more details, to view the complete programme and view ticket details visit www.wrexhamcarnivalofwords.com
