Children at All Saints School in Gresford are still buzzing with excitement after receiving a Royal visit last week!

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales dropped in to meet staff and pupils last Friday.

Headteacher Richard Hatwood said: “It was an amazing experience for everyone involved, and something the children will be talking about for a long time to come.

“Our children were fantastic and did a wonderful job of representing All Saints and welcoming His Royal Highness into our school.

“It was a lovely occasion and the Prince really enjoyed chatting with the children and staff. It was a wonderful morning and a real honour for the school.”

During his visit, His Royal Highness met pupils, enjoyed having a go baking Bara Brith and spent time listening to pupils’ learning relating to the Gresford Mining Disaster.

Pupil James Douglas, who presented His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales with a handmade Welsh crochet dragon, said: “Meeting Prince William was an honour and it was very special to welcome him to school. Today is a day we won’t forget!”
