Architect plans of Wrexham's Old Library building
SHARE

In order to facilitate the works at the Old Library on Queen’s Square, Wrexham there will be a few changes coming into effect with some works commencing on Friday 27th September.

Visually there will be hoarding erected outside the Old Library to separate the public from the building site.

The small cut through footpath between the Old Library and the Lambpit Street building will need to be closed off to thepublic as part of the works and to ensure public safety.

The Guildhall car park will form part of the works compound. This will mean that parking spaces will be reduced, however the number of disabled spaces have been increased and re-located.

Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader of Wrexham Council with assets and parking enforcement in his portfolio said “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding as we look to bring this Grade II listed City Centre building back into public use. “In order to proceed with this exciting project we have secured £4.1million worth of grant funding from Welsh Government and SPF, and upon completion – expected end of September 2025,  the building will support entrepreneurship across the creative industries, and will be a focal point for individuals and businesses as a Creative Digital Hub.
