Do you travel to work on your own in the car, or on public transport?

Did you know that a commuter will typically save over £1,000 by car sharing?

Liftshare.com is a free website, where you can find people to share lifts with – share the lift, share the cost.

Saving money isn’t the only benefit to liftsharing. Here are some more benefits:

Reduce CO2 emissions

Fewer cars on the roads means less CO2 and Lliftshare is aiming to save one billion miles – you can be part of that by sharing your commute.

Why not go one step further? Walking or cycling to work is a zero carbon option!

Reduce stress

Hate being stuck in traffic? We’ve all been there. Cut congestion and reduce the stress of travelling by sharing a car.

Parking

Sharing your car journey also means the stresses and pressures of parking, as well as the daily cost, will also be shared.

Cllr David A Bithell, lead member for housing and climate change, said: “There are many benefits to sharing your commute and Liftshare is a great way of making the whole thing really easy. Wrexham Council is committed to reducing carbon emissions and we all have a part to play.

“I encourage you to take a look at the website where it is free to join and you might find an easy way to save yourself hundreds of pounds.”
