Looking to stay in Wrecsam over Eisteddfod week this summer?
SHARE

This August, as hosts of the National Eisteddfod, we are anticipating a busy time for our local accommodation providers with all caravan camping on the Eisteddfod Maes long since sold out- however there are still limited tent pitches available onsite as well as the new ‘Hwyrnos’ location.

Thankfully, Wrecsam has a great range of verified hotels, B&B’s, self-catering places and holiday parks to choose from, all of whom are preparing to give a Croeso Cynnes.

If you still haven’t managed to arrange your accommodation for the Eisteddfod week, some availability remains within the area, although as demand is high, we’d recommend securing your booking as soon as possible.

The list below provides some ideas of places to stay within the Wrecsam and north east Wales areas;

The official Visit Wales accommodation listing for Wrexham County (see; Holiday accommodation | Places to stay | Visit Wales )

Our North East Wales tourism partnership website also has a wide range of accredited accommodation providers, listed at; Accommodation – Gogledd Ddwyrain Cymru – North East Wales

If you’re struggling to find what you need in Wrexham, or are looking at staying a little further afield, our regional partners at Go North Wales, Visit Chester & Cheshire and Visit Shropshire have some great listings too.

Cheshire – Visit Chester & Cheshire | Accommodation

Shropshire – Visit Shropshire – Accommodation in and around Shropshire

If you own a tourist accommodation business in and around Wrecsam you may want to consider using the Helo Blod FREE translation service-and use some Cymraeg in your socials or adverts to welcome customers.

Lead member for Economy, Regeneration and Tourism Cllr Nigel Williams said “If you’re staying in the Wrecsam area for Eisteddfod week – why not explore some of our local attractions too?  We’re home to the 11-mile UNESCO World Heritage Site at Pontcysyllte, we have two National Trust Estates (Erddig and Chirk Castle), plus other great places to visit such as the picturesque Ceiriog Valley on the edge of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Xplore Science Discovery Centre, Ty Pawb (arts, markets and food hall), a vibrant traffic free city centre, great pubs and bars including the Saith Seren (our Cymraeg community centre and pub), as well as some great places to eat.

“We can’t wait to give a Wrecsam Croeso to everyone.”
