They ensure that there is a variety of sessions that cater for all ages and interests. Did you know that there are a lot of free events you can attend?

Today, we’ll take a look at some of the activities that are in store for you over at Llay library. Located in Llay Park Resource Centre on Market Square, why not pop in and get involved?

All friends here

Some people really appreciate some company and a chat with a friendly face. At Llay library, there is a weekly Friendship Group every Monday 2 pm – 4 pm and it’s free to join.

It is the ideal way to make new friends or catch up with some old ones. There is no booking required, just turn up!

On the first Tuesday of every month, the is a free Book Club 2 pm – 3 pm where you can join fellow book enthusiasts and discuss all things literature. This too is a great chance to meet new people with a shared interest in reading.

Term time fun

There is plenty of activities for children of all ages throughout term time at Llay library.

Every Wednesday, there is a free Story Time session 2.30 pm – 3 pm for the younger visitors to the library. This is followed by the weekly Lego Club 3.30 pm – 4.30 pm for ages 4+.

These events are great for young children to learn a variety of skills through playing and getting along with others.

Thursdays at 3.30 pm are perfect for aspiring young artists as the Junior Craft group meet weekly to create a whole host of magnificent art.

Artistic flare

The arts are not just for the young visitors to the library. Every Friday 1 pm – 4 pm, the Adult Craft group meet during term time.

This is a free event, however, booking is essential. It is advised you get in touch with the staff to book your place on the session. For further details on all the events mentioned here and more, head over to our libraries events page. Alternatively, you can call Llay library on 01978 859020 or email lprc@wrexham.gov.uk for more information.
