Across the county borough, our library services work hard to bring a range of activities and events for everyone. All ages and interests are catered for and most events are free to join in.
Located on Castle Road, Coedpoeth, Plas Pentwyn library has a choice of amenities for the community. Today, we’ll take a look at some of the sessions that are available.
Join the club
On the last Tuesday of the month 2 pm – 3 pm, there is a Book Club that meet to discuss the latest book and all things literature.
It makes for a great way to make new friends and bond of the shared love of reading. It’s free to join and all are welcome.
For younger ones, there is a weekly Lego Club that meet on a Tuesday 3.30 pm – 4.30 pm. Lego is a great way for children to learn lots of skills from problem solving and conflict resolution, to teamwork and communication skills.
The Lego Club is a chance for young ones to have a fun way to learn and make new friends too. This is suitable for ages 4+ and is free to attend.
The old grey matter
Plas Pentwyn has just the thing for those who enjoy a could puzzle. They have a weekly Scrabble Club every Friday 2 pm – 4 pm.
Come and join in the word play at this free session You can put your mind to the test and compete with fellow wordsmiths.
On site facilities
Plas Pentwyn is a community hub located 3.5 miles from the city centre and is accessible by public transport.
The whole building has wheelchair access and free Wi-Fi throughout the whole building. Visitors can also enjoy the community garden on site.
