Consultations on reducing the published admission numbers (PANs) at two Wrexham primary schools have now been launched.

We are seeking the views of interested parties regarding the proposal to reduce the PANs at both Penygelli Community Primary School and Ysgol Maes y Mynydd.

For each school, there is a consultation document setting out the information that consultees will need to consider in order to take part fully in the consultation process, as well as other supporting documents.

The consultation period commenced on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 and ends on Monday, February 2, 2026.

You can read all of the relevant documents, and take part, here:

Cllr Phil Wynn, lead member for education, said “We would like all those with an interest in these proposals to complete the consultations. It is important that all views can be taken into account before a decision is made.

“You are welcome to ask any questions and let us have your views using the email addresses below.”
