Want to find out more on how to support individuals and families living with dementia? If so, these upcoming workshops will be of interest to you…
On Tuesday, March 10, hosted in Tŷ Pawb’s performance space, ‘Supporting people living with dementia’ aims to show the power of asking “What Matters to You?” and the difference it makes when we listen to learn.
Guest facilitator Tommy Whitelaw leads three sessions spaced across the day, and you can book your free place on your preferred workshop.
The three sessions
- 9.30am-12.30pm – Workshop for professionals who are working with and supporting individuals and families who have dementia. Come and learn more about the ‘What Matters To You’ movement and the impact of listening and kindness. This workshop will enable you to explore what person centred practice might look like across different teams and care settings.
- 1.30pm-2.30pm – Workshop for private and voluntary organisations, and the public. In this session you can learn about Tommy’s lived experience of caring for his mother Joan during their dementia journey.
- 3pm-4pm – Workshop for private and voluntary organisations, and the public. Same session as above.
Book your place!
You can book your place on any of the above sessions through Eventbrite.
Please note, some parts of these sessions will be of a very personal nature.
Additionally, the workshop includes sections that invite delegate participation. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory, and the space is designed to ensure everyone feels comfortable and supported.
