The final touch to the city centre Christmas decorations has now safely arrived and is being prepared ready for the big light up on 18 November.

The 35ft Sitka Spruce has been chosen from Elveden Forest, who are the UK’s number one supplier of City Centre display trees.

Once again the tree has been kindly sponsored by Chapter Court and we’d like to say a big thank you to them for ensuring Wrexham City Centre has a tree that’s second to none!

Ian Stone, from the Chapter Court project, said: “The Christmas tree is the centre piece of all city centre festivities and this year’s is very special and all ready to be lit up for young and old to enjoy. “It’s a privilege to be the sponsor once again and I look forward to a successful and enjoyable Christmas and New Year in the city centre.”

Leader of Wrexham Council, Cllr Mark Pritchard said: “I’d like to thank Chapter Court for their continued sponsorship of the City Centre Christmas tree, and encourage everyone to support our businesses by shopping locally this Christmas.”

Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy and Regeneration, said, “The Christmas Tree looks amazing this year and visitors old and young will enjoy stopping and taking it in as part of their festive shopping. “On behalf of the Council and visitors to Wrexham I would like to say a huge thank you for your support of our city centre.”

The tree is on Queens Square within easy distance of the shops and markets.

Don’t forget there’s free parking after 11am in all town centre council run car parks except Tŷ Pawb.
