A celebration of Iaith Gymraeg (Welsh language) in Wrexham to mark launch of new Welsh education website

Croeso i bawb – a welcome to everyone

An afternoon of Welsh language activities and entertainment will be held at Ty Pawb on 20th October between 1-5pm, and a warm croeso (welcome) is extended to everyone.

Run by the Clwstwr Cymraeg (Welsh Cluster), made up of a group of local organisations who use, teach and promote the Welsh Language, the event will give the opportunity to celebrate what’s happening in Wrexham, as well as providing ample opportunities to ask questions and find out more about the benefits of Welsh education.

The event will also see the launch of the new AGW Website. (Addysg Gymraeg Wrecsam/Wrexham Welsh Education). The website is a brand new resource Introducing, supporting, sharing information and celebrating Welsh medium education within Wrexham County Borough.

Technoleg a’r Iaith Gymraeg/technology and the Welsh language

During the event there will be an opportunity to try out our immersive Welsh language VR headsets – see how you get in the immersive 3D environment!

Amseroedd y digwyddiadau/ event timings:

1pm – Event opens to public/stalls open

2pm – official opening/film and website launch

2.30pm -Messy play and visit from ‘Dewin’

2.30-3 –Craft and singing session with Magi Ann

3-3.30 – Musical entertainment by Ysgol Morgan Llwyd learners

3.30-4 – Silent Disco

4-4.30 – Seren a Sbarc

4.30-5pm – VR headset experience

Cllr Hugh Jones, Wrexham Council Welsh Language champion said: “This will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase all the great work happening in and around Wrexham promoting the Welsh language and Culture.”
