Lots of people overindulge at Christmas time, your portion sizes may be a bit larger than usual and as a result, there’s bound to be some food waste.  We are asking you to think twice before putting those leftovers into your general waste bin.

A great way you can prevent food waste is to cook with your leftovers…think risottos, curries, soups and stews.

Looking for inspiration? The Love Food Hate Waste website has some great recipe ideas!

MISSED BIN COLLECTION? LET US KNOW.

Did you know you can even put any raw, out of date and cooked food into your food waste caddy? Just make sure that no packaging makes it into the caddy because it affects the quality of the compost.

It’s Simple!

Just put your kerbside caddy out each week, at the same time as your other recycling containers.

And the best bit…..all the food waste is turned into compost, which can be collected free of charge by Wrexham residents when using one of the Household Waste Recycling Centres at Bryn Lane, The Lodge or Plas Madoc!

Missed bin collection? Let us know quickly and easily online.
