Find out more about the support available to you at our information drop in session.
An unpaid carer is a person of any age who provides unpaid help and support to a relative, partner, friend or neighbour who can’t manage without the carers help.
Carers Week takes place 5th-11th June 2023. To celebrate, we are extending our usual unpaid carers café to include other organisations and Wrexham Council departments to give helpful, advice and information to unpaid carers.
The drop-in information session will take place on Tuesday, 6th June from 11am – 2pm in the Wellbeing Hub. If you are an unpaid carer and want some help, advice or just want to know what is available for you, just pop into the hub.
Cllr John Pritchard, Lead Member for Adult Social Care said; “Unpaid carers are the backbone of our society and they do an incredible job. I would encourage anyone who cares for a loved one to come to this drop in event as part of Carers Week and find out a bit more about the support that is available to them.”
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much needed support.
Tuesday, 6th June from 11am – 2pm, The Wellbeing Hub, Chester Street, Wrexham.
