It’s expected that European Elections will take place on Thursday May 23 and, as always, we are encouraging you to use your vote.

If you’re already registered to vote you should receive voting information in the next couple of weeks. If you’re not registered you won’t be able to take part in these or any other elections that may be called.

ARTS, MARKETS, COMMUNITY EVENTS – GET NEWS FROM TŶ PAWB STRAIGHT TO YOUR INBOX.

Registering to vote takes about 5 minutes and you have until May 7 to do this. You can register here.

You will need your date of birth and national insurance number so please have them handy before you register. If you cannot find your national insurance number, you can use the HMRC enquiry service here, or ring 0300 200 3502.

Ian Bancroft, Local Returning Officer, said: “It is important that people have the opportunity to take part in this election and do not miss out because they are un-registered.  Please don’t assume you are registered to vote just because you pay other things such as Council Tax. If in doubt please call or email them on the contact details above.”

A full list of candidates is available on the Wales Regional Returning Officer’s website here
