The Welsh Blood Service has announced further blood donation sessions to be held in Chirk and Wrexham in May.

If you are fit and well please consider blood donation, it is classed as an essential journey and it’s very important that stocks are maintained during these difficult times.

The Wrexham session will be held at Pembroke House on Wrexham Technology Park and will take place on May 7.

The Chirk session will be held at the Parish Hall on May 1.

Their last donation sessions held earlier this month did exceptionally well with 150 attending and 140 donations collected over 3 days, meaning 420 lives potentially saved…a fantastic result and they are passing on their thanks to all those who donated during the sessions.

Donations will be by appointment only and public health guidelines regarding social distancing will be in place. There’ll also be fewer appointments than the usual number of donation sessions.

Please take a look at their video below which shows you the measures they will be taking to protect your and their staff’s health if you make a blood donation.
