We know the lake at Acton Park is a popular spot during the summer.
Unfortunately, as usually happens during a warm summer, we’ve detected blue green algae at the lake, and as such are advising members of the public to take more care around the lake.

It can be toxic to humans and animals if swallowed if it comes into contact with the skin. As such, we’re advising people not to enter the lake, nor to allow their pets to go into the water.
It tends to hit the park at this time of year, so we know people are used to it – but we just want to put the warning out just in case.
