On September 25, the café in the wellbeing hub at Crown Buildings, Wrexham city centre, will be open!

So, if you are looking for somewhere new to try when it comes you an eat-in or takeaway lunch, why not give it a try. They will offer breakfast until 10.30am and then paninis, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and sweet treats (with a healthy twist) for the rest of the day.

The café will be run by Groundwork North Wales, who have been running the café in Alyn Waters Country Park since 2019, and they are now ready to open the doors on this city centre venue.

Alwyn Jones, chief officer for social care at Wrexham Council, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce, on behalf of the partnership between the Wrexham Council, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) and The Association of Voluntary Organisations Wrexham (AVOW) that Groundworks North Wales were the successful applicant to operate the café to be known as Caffi Cyfle within the Wellbeing Hub.

“The café will open officially on Monday, September 25 at 9am and will provide hot and cold food including healthy eating options as well as a variety of hot and cold drinks in an all-inclusive, safe environment that we hope will become a popular addition to the Wellbeing Hub and its users across the community.”

Cllr John Pritchard, lead member for adult social care, said: “I am really pleased to see Caffi Cyfle opening in the Wellbeing Hub. We want the Wellbeing Hub to be a safe place for all members of the community and it is lovely to see another addition to what is on offer.”

Caffi Cyfle entrance is off Waterworld car park using the main Wellbeing Hub entrance.
