A new toddler & junior play area has opened at Broughton Heights.
Work in social care and be the lifeline your community needs.
The new play area is officially up and running following a launch event attended by Cllr Beverley Parry-Jones and Broughton Community Council, at the facility.
New play equipment including a multi-unit with slide and climbing wall, swings, spinning dish, spring see saw and park bench are included at the new facility as well as a space for informal play.
Cllr Beverley Parry-Jones said “It’s great to see this play area getting used by the local children. It’s an extremely welcomed facility in the community and I’m sure that it will be enjoyed for many years to come.”
The scheme was funded by a £30,000 Section 106 payment received from the Housing Developer to improve facilities for local residents.
Consultations and management was carried out by Wrexham County Borough Council in conjunction with Broughton Community Council who provided local feedback on which play facility they would like to see built for local children to enjoy.
The winning design was produced by HAGs-SMP and the equipment was installed by a local Wrexham firm ACE Play.
