Introducing ‘Dydd Llun 2’A fantastic free event – there’s no place like it

Last April, Dydd Llun Pawb (Everybody’s Monday) saw thousands of people celebrating the grand opening of Tŷ Pawb with a packed day of family-friendly activities.

So we thought it would be fitting to celebrate our first birthday in similar fashion!

Introducing ‘Dydd Llun 2’

Dydd Llun 2 will take place on Easter Monday 22 April and will be a FREE all-day event featuring live performances, music and entertainment with family activities, arts and crafts for all ages.

Daytime performers will include Evrah Rose, PopVox Choir, Delta Academy Choir and Welsh Samba band, Bloco Sŵn.

Then in the late afternoon/evening the entertainment will continue in the People’s Square where we’ll have some top bands and artists including Meilir, Omaloma and popular party band Break the Record.

More performers to be announced! We’ll be revealing the full programme next week. Stay tuned!

Our unique shops, food stalls and bar will be open and it will also be the very last day you can see our two stunning exhibitions – Uptwist Downtiwst and Julie Cope’s Grand Tour: The Story of a Life by Grayson Perry.

During the day we’ll also be officially unveiling the new artwork for Wal Pawb, the revolving wall in our market hall which has been designed by artist Kevin Hunt.

A fantastic free event – there’s no place like it

Lead Member for People – Communities, Partnerships Public Protection and Community Safety, Cllr Hugh Jones, said: “Daytime community events are where Tŷ Pawb really comes into it’s own. There’s no place quite like it for bringing people together for live entertainment, arts. great food, shops and fun for all the family.

“Tŷ Pawb has grown from strength to strength over it’s first year and this promises to be a fantastic free event with something for everyone and a very fitting celebration to celebrate a wonderful achievement for the town.”
