A two day event celebrating the world of pop-culture, film and television will return to Wrexham in September.

Wales Comic Con will take over the Wrexham University campus for its ‘Homecoming’ event in less than three weeks time on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 event.

During the weekend visitors will have the chance to meet some of the stars of Red Dwarf, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who and the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Guests already confirmed for the two days include Amanda Abbington, Danny John-Jules, Chris Barrie, Mark Addy, Catrin Steward, Dan Starkey, Steve Speirs, Femi Taylor, Patricia Quinn, Gareth David-Lloyd and Terence Maynard.

Question and answer panels will take place, giving fans the chance to ask their favourite actors about their experiences on screen and career highlights.

The event will see the return of Wales Comic Con fan favourites, such as the Cosplay Masquerade where visitors have the chance to showcase their costumes and pay homage to their pop culture idols.

Also on offer are gaming opportunities for both video and tabletop enthusiasts, as well as starter flash classes for budding comic book artists.

There will also be the chance to grab a selfie with some of the displays from film and TV.

Entry for the two day event can be purchased in advance or on the day, with organiser Jaime Milner telling us that prices have been kept as low as possible, with free entry for children extended to cover everyone of primary school age.

There are still a handful of VIP passes left for Saturday and Sunday, which includes

Priority Early Bird entry for the day

  • 1 x £40 Photo-op vouchers
  • Exclusive print
  • Fast track Photo-op queue
  • Join autograph queues without a VQ ticket
  • Priority entry to Q&A Halls
  • 10% discount on Wales Comic Con official merchandise

A limited amount of Weekend Priority Entry tickets are available, as well as general admission options for both Saturday and Sunday.

Photo ops with some of the stars attending on the weekend can also be purchased.

Wales Comic Con ‘Homecoming’ will return to the Wrexham University Campus on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September between 11:00am-6:00pm. Tickets and photo ops for the event can be purchased on the Wales Comic Con website.
