Communities for Work Plus

The Communities for Work Plus team have been congratulated for making a positive difference to the lives of men in HMP Berwyn.

The team has been talking to and advising men soon to be released into the Wrexham area about what support is available to them in order to help them back into employment or training.

HMP Berwyn invited the team, along with others, to celebrate their joint achievements over the past year and they were presented with an award and certificate in appreciation of their contribution to making a positive difference.

The award was presented by HMP Berwyn Governor, Nick Leader and was inscribed:

A huge thank you for offering the men of HMP Berwyn an opportunity for employment and helping them make a positive difference to their future’.

Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy and Regeneration, said, “The relationship with HMP Berwyn is now very strong and the team looks forward to future working in order to make those nearing release are aware of the opportunities available to them.”
