Toby Zorn, Environmental Health and Housing Standards Lead, said, “Whilst we have many responsible landlords in Wrexham, sadly, there are those that do not take their legal obligations seriously and as a result come to our attention and are subsequently prosecuted. Such behaviour is not only illegal it has total disregard for the welfare and safety of those living in unsafe homes and our officers will not hesitate to take action.”

You can contact the Environmental Health and Housing Standards team by e-mail at HealthandHousing@wrexham.gov.uk or on 01978 292040 if you have concerns about the HMO you are living in.”

We keep a list of currently licenced HMOs on our website, and also provide information on what an HMO is, and how they can be licenced.

When it comes to the cost of living, making sure you claim all the help and support you’re entitled to could make a huge difference.
