This week is Refugee Week, and 2023 marks its 25th anniversary. This year’s theme is compassion.

Organisers are asking you to celebrate what compassion looks like in action. By making sure all understand what compassion is, we can make sure we’re behaving compassionately towards everyone.

Why compassion?

The last few years have been challenging for all of us and we’re still adjusting to new realities post-lockdown as well as responding to new crises, and even when something feels “far away” it can have an impact on everyone. All of this makes us even more aware of the need to widen our circles of compassion.
